Old San Juan newsclip in response to an art critic, 1988.

Translated:
"Curious that you speak of subtlety when criticizing Mike’s work—
and since when is an artist questioned for the level of subtlety in their work? As far as we know, Picasso admired the work of the primitives precisely for the opposite: for the ugly and grotesque. Warhol used his big shiny labels as a slap in the face to the culture that would later pay for the same advertising diarrhea. The artist always uses their medium to shout and express themselves as they please—not to appease a few butterfly-pinning types like it seems to be in your case. It’s enough to note that even your title is misleading, making one believe you’ll actually write about the works, rather than about what you consider art."
